This chronological chart below will give you a general idea of the order of the prophets.  Prophets are listed under the kingdom to which they prophesied and next to the kings during whose reigns they ministered.  Each prophet is linked to more information, which will appear in the footnote section when you click on a name.  For information on the prophetic ministries of Elijah and Elisha, you will need to see the Kings of Judah and Israel page.

Judah (South)--Eventually exiled in Babylon

Israel (North)--Eventually exiled in Assyria

King Ahaz   continues his pro-Assyrian policy despite Isaiah's advice. Micha
When Hezekiah falls sick, Isaiah comes to tell him he will die. But Hezekiah prays to God and lives 15 more years. Contemporary prophets: Micha and Nahum. Hoshea
